Today's installment of Tiny House Blog Week points you to Kent's post on
earthquake shacks built by the Department of Lands and Buildings of the Relief Corporation for those who needed shelter after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake: more than 5,000 were erected for 16,000+ people around the city. Apparently, all of them were painted green so that they wouldn't stand out from the parks and public squares where they were put up.
