The BBC has a marvellous picture essay by Jorn Madslien called
'Murmansk's gorgeous garages'. Apparently, men enjoy a bit of 'me time' away from the family home in Murmansk and rather than heading for their shed, they head for their garage. These are usually self-built and, I was shocked to discover, do not always conform to local building regulations (although apparently there are amnesties for unregistered garages). Though plenty of work is done in them, I don't think they can truly be described as garden offices. Well worth a browse.
