Justin Anthony at the always very browseable site materialicious has been running a special architecture week this week. There's lots to gawp at but I particularly liked his write-up of the Tiny Texas Houses Project, which bears many resemblances to Jay Schafer's work. The TTHP uses reclaimed materials to produce orginal-looking titchy shedlike homes which are, effectively, originals and can very definitely be used as garden offices. Their first models are a 10'x17' with porch, loft, bath and a small kitchen. Interesting outside, they're deceptively spacious inside. Each model has lots of green elements - good use of grey water, solar power, and so on.
