The summery feel to the site continues with the Jago beach hut on the Isle of Wight overlooking the Solent. It was built by The Manser Practice who describe it as a one-off timber framed house built on a steel deck to a 8'x4' module. The internal walls, floor and ceiling are plywood throughout, and the external cladding is painted softwood. A galvanised-steel spiral staircase links the upper and lower floors. It took six months to build and cost £160,000. More details at
The Times site where there is also a nice slideshow of the house.
