Flexible working - Gordon Brown goes for it

As reported all over the media, including Patrick Wintour's piece in The Guardian, Gordon Brown is pushing forward an initiative for encouraging flexible working which he outlined in his first Queen's speech yesterday. The move could give flexible working rights to more than four million parents and employees with children aged up to 17 could have rights enjoyed by those with much younger families. Sainsbury's HR director Imelda Walsh will advise on implementing the plan.
