Our occasional slot looking at childish shedlike atmospheres returns for a focus on Ruby's Playhouse which is featured at Cookie. Built by production designer James Chinlund (husband of child cookery expert Clare Crespo) for his three-year-old daughter Ruby, it has two storeys, measures 12ft x 6ft and took a month to build using recycled timber and windows as well as cedar fencing.Via ohdeedoh with thanks to regular Shedworking reader Alan Bucknam for the alert

Shedworking isn't well known for arousing feelings of irritation in me, but I can't help feeling that this "playhouse" is big enough to be someone's actual home. Sorry to sound ranty, but is this just a tiny bit inappropriate? I don't know, maybe I've read too much today about profligate spending and financial crashes, but I feel slightly offended by this admittedly cute structure.

It is on the large side of large, but perhaps they can use it as an actual office when the kids push off.
