Friday Eye Candy - Todd Saunders Sivilarkitekt

A shedlike summerhouse in Hardanger, designed by Todd Saunders & Tommie Wilhelmsen from Saunders Architecture, a firm owned by Canadian Todd Saunders who has lived and worked in Norway since 1997. Lots more lovely shedlike atmospheres on their site. This is what they have to say about it:
"A self-initiated and self-financed project. The main dilemma for emerging architects is finding clients willing to take a chance with young, enthusiastic architects that have limited experience? When we first started our firm, instead of looking for clients we went looking for plots, to build an experimental structure. Doing this, we could pursue our architectural vision in line with our convictions: uncomprimising, original and respect for the landscape."

  2. Yes, it's a drop dead gorgeous shed. And the view is quite decent too.
