Shedworking book: bad news

Bad news I'm afraid for those of you looking forward to the publication of 'Shedworking: the alternative workplace revolution' in July. The book's publishers have been taken over by Harper Collins (it's actually more complicated than that but the detail doesn't matter) and HC have decided not to take on the Shedworking book. Obviously this is a blow, but I'm hopeful that a new publisher can be found soon and have already started the search (although if you are a publisher and reading this, please do get in touch).

    Sorry for the setback.
What about looking to places like Workman or Rodale in the U.S.

Rodale is a gardening/counterculture/organic publisher with a long history, though I see your book as more mainstream.

    Be of good courage.

What a shame. I was wondering what would happen when I saw The Friday Project had gone under but I didn't expect this. I'd be amazed if you went very long without a publisher though.

  6. Thank you everybody. I'm hopeful that we'll get a publisher for it soon and am on the case... I won't rest until I get Chris' garden office into print!

  8. This is unfortunate news. However, in my experience, two themes seem to reoccur in life -- first, most things happen for a good reason, even if that reason is not readily visible at the time; and second, most things work out for the best in the long run. I'm sure these will be the case with this little episode.

Best wishes for a speedy resolution.....Bill Kratz
