The Octagon is made of cardboard as a temporary disaster shelter. The cardboard is of high quality with some treatment to make it last through rain and stronger in wind. No special tools are required to construct it. The cardboard is folded and taped together. It will be usable for at least six months (though they will not guarantee this outside of Japan). No price is given (asks buyers to contact the company, though prices for shipment to various places in Japan are shown).

ReplyDeleteIf you want to read more about the Octagon, you can use Google translations. I live in Japan and use this wonderful Google feature on a daily basis. It's a godsend!!! Sometimes the translations are fuzzy, but if you can decipher the jinglish (Japanese/English) then things should be pretty clear. This website was particularly easy to read via Google Translations. Enjoy!!!
