Happy Birthday - Shedworking is 1 today

A year ago today I wondered if I could find enough interesting things to write about garden offices to manage a post maybe once a week. 827 posts later, Shedworking is still going strong (averaging 650 hits a day and rising, with 250 subscribers to the feed), The Shed magazine is now read by around 1,500 people an issue, and the book 'Shedworking: the alternative workplace revolution' will be out in summer 2008 from The Friday Project. It's been a fruitful 12 months. So just a quick word to say thank you to all of you who have sent me information about shedworking atmospheres, to those who have spread the word about shedworking, and to everybody who simply enjoys reading about shedlife - it's been a genuine pleasure meeting you.
Thanks to Felix Bennett for the illustration.

  3. Happy birthday! As I am very new to the shedworking field and as you are now officially one, I figure you might be the best person to ask some advice on the topic of garden studios. I would like to commission/purchase a beautifully designed garden studio that would be useable all year round. As I am based in Scotland and most companies online I have come across who make garden studios seem to be down south, I was wondering if you had any recommendations/links/advice on architects/designers based in Scotland who are making great garden studios? Thank you very much and your site is very helpful.
