Sussex Shelters
Last month I slipped back down south and across the border into sunny Britain, writes Shedworking's northern Europe correspondent Sy Willmer. In an attempt to lower my impact on the environment, having travelled by aeroplane, I spent my time getting around the British Isles on a bus. Public transport is fair game for criticism in the UK, but I feel the bus companies and local council planning department deserve praise when they decided to install these shelters in Sussex. It's great to see time and investment in such everyday building. The cedar shingle roof tiles merit note and the level of finish caught my carpenter’s eye - neat joints and the dowels are a nice touch!
