We've been covering shepherds' huts regularly in some detail over the last few months and like all great things it's time to call it a day for this slot (though we'll still continue to write about them in the general run of things). As a final flourish, here is
Clive Edwards' lovely painting of a shepherd's hut, watercolour on paper, painted at Shillingstone in Dorset which you can also buy to adorn your own shedworking atmosphere.

ReplyDeleteAny clues on what your new weekly Tuesday feature would be!
always a good read
Some ideas but nothing confirmed yet...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words.
I realise your post goes back to 2008, but if you have any current information about the picture I would be grateful. That shepherd’s hut was in my mother’s back garden in Shillingstone. She lived next door to Clive Edwards. I remember him painting it.
ReplyDeleteI would very much like to track it down, or find a print of it, at least.
Any information you have would be much appreciated.
Verena, I'm afraid not. But if I do come across any I'll certainly let you know. What a lovely story about it, thank you for sharing.
