1. Block glare with low-E, tinted or obscure glass
2. Keep it quiet with custom carved doors that block as much as 50 percent more noise than hollow-core doors.
3. Consider interior French doors with glass to close off the room yet allow parents to keep an eye on what's going on inside.

Keep warm and beautiful
Susan Fornoff at the San Francisco Chronicle reports on research from Jeld-Wen, makers of windows and doors, that suggests top of the wish lists of home shoppers is computer/office space, well ahead of home theater space, and exercise space. And Jeld-Wen also makes some interesting recommendations:
