Keep warm and beautiful

Susan Fornoff at the San Francisco Chronicle reports on research from Jeld-Wen, makers of windows and doors, that suggests top of the wish lists of home shoppers is computer/office space, well ahead of home theater space, and exercise space. And Jeld-Wen also makes some interesting recommendations:
1. Block glare with low-E, tinted or obscure glass
2. Keep it quiet with custom carved doors that block as much as 50 percent more noise than hollow-core doors.
3. Consider interior French doors with glass to close off the room yet allow parents to keep an eye on what's going on inside.
