Big Shed
Rather larger than most of our garden offices, if you're interested in big sheds (that's BIG sheds) then you'll love Big Shed by Will Pryce from Thames & Hudson. The blurb says: "An exploration of contemporary architecture’s decision to ‘think big’, this book will inform and inspire architects, engineers and anyone who wonders at these extraordinary structures." The big sheds they're talking about are airports and football stadiums rather than the latest from B&Q, but it's a pleasant browse nonetheless with examples from the likes of Frank Gehry, Norman Foster, Richard Rogers, Daniel Libeskind, Nicholas Grimshaw and Toyo Ito. Is Barajas Airport really a shed though?
