Garden offices add value to your home

Lynn Fotheringham from InsideOut Buildings also writes one of the very, very few blogs with garden offices as their focus, The Office in the Garden. Writing in the Community channel on the Enterprise Nation web swite, she reports on an email from a client in North Wales who recently had her semi-detached house valued. “I persuaded an estate agent to come to give a valuation of the garden office. The valuer this morning was scratching her head rather - and had to call her boss over to see the property as well - so he came this afternoon. Overall they valued the house (without the office) at £240-245 000 and with the office at £265-275 000. So - break-even financially - but worth far, far more in terms of quality of life and function - so I'm happy!”
