Since they both work from home, photographer John Allsopp and his wife author Liz Fielding decided to move the clutter out of the house and create a work space at the bottom of the garden. They chose a solid wooden Scandinavian design with three rooms and a loft. The largest room is used by John for his photographic work since he had more hardware and needed the space for both studio and computers. He also "bagged" the smallest of the three rooms for storage.
Liz has the small corner office - about 2m x 2m where John has installed more than 50' of shelves for her working library. Nicknamed the "Snap & Scribble" - he snaps, she scribbes - it also has a verandah with views over nearby hills which provides Liz with an outdoor space where she can work when the weather if fine, and share a sundowner with John at the end of the working day.
