Shelter: How We Live - exhibition and design competition

Shelter: How We Live is an interesting exhibition running until November 14 at Touchstones Nelson Museum of Art and History. It looks at all kinds of shedworkinglike issues such as green construction, making buildings from pallets and what 'shelter' really means. There's a good blog about it here and also a building competition focusing on how much space we really need, the main requirement being that the design for a tiny house (or live/work home) must have a maximum footprint of 10m2 and maximum height of 4m, to be built using locally sourced materials and incorporate green or recycled materials and/or systems. Closing date is, er, this Thursday, October 7. Click here for more details.
