This artist's painting studio designed by Australian architects Open Studio actually crosses shared space over two back gardens in Flemington. It's a decent size taking in a large store room, garden shed and garage as well as being a painting shedworking space. Here's how the architects describe it: The interior is a white neutral space with various gradations of natural light. In contrast, the exterior acquires an object-like artificial quality. Its material expression is abstracted by the careful location of the openings, the reduction of materials and the concealment of construction requirements.
