Kate Humble: shedworker


Naturalist and BBC presenter Kate Humble writes in the Daily Telegraph about her conversion to the delights of working in a shepherd's hut. Here's a snippet:
Jane and Richard [who run Plankbridge] had been asked to design and build a scaled-down version of their regular shepherd’s hut as a writer’s retreat for a garden at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. During the show Tracy Chevalier was the writer in residence; now the hut sits in my garden, and I have no more excuses. I’ll just make a quick cup of tea and get on with that opening line…
