Converting a garage into a garden office

The garage-based garden office is a lesser-spotted member of the family, but still popular. There's a couple of excellent case studies on the re:think homeworking site of conversions in Kensington, London. The first, pictured above, was more of a redesign than an actual build, looking at a small amount of layout adjustment, plus the addition of acoustic panels, and colour choices for the interior design.

The second, pictured below, was more of a full-on conversion. Here's how they describe their work:

The main goal was to transform the garage storage room into a comfortable and accessible workspace. Principally this was achieved through increasing daylight, refurbishing the space and adding a ramp for wheelchair access.
There are also details of a selfbuild. Well worth a read.
