This was the last garden room completed by eDEN Garden Rooms before lockdown in the UK so it's interesting to see how it's been used over the last month and a half. Built in Weald, Kent, for a family with three teenagers and intended to be used by all of them , it has seen heavy use since it was finished. It has been the centre for homeschooling, table tennis, streaming of programmes on the cinema screen (for education and pleasure), and even some Joe Wicks virtual fitness classes. The parents even managed a candle-lit dinner inside.
It's a 7m x 4m build with plenty of storage. Features include a 4-door bi-fold, floor-to-ceiling
windows, and required some extra planning as eDEN's Mia Walmsley explains:
"There were quite a few tricky elements on the site
including a sloped gradient and a sewer pipe to work around," she says. "We cleared
the site - flowerbeds, shrubbery, etc - and got a full sewer survey.
Installation with extra long screw piles meant we were
able to build around the sewer pipe."
