Sheds for cats
Architects for Animals 'Giving Shelter' is an annual initiative organised by FixNation which provides free spay/neuter services for homeless cats in Los Angeles (there are an estimated one to three million). Architects and designers are invited to design, construct and then donate outdoor shelters that provide cats with shelter from the elements. The Shedworking staff's favourites were HKS’s 'CAnT WE ALL GET ALONG' (above) combining a fishy-shaped shelter with birdboxes, and CallisonRTKL’s triangular home with fakestained-glass windows and disco ball (below).
