People often tell me they'd love a garden office but they don't have a garden. While that is indeed a bit of a hurdle, it's not an unleapable one. Here's a lovely example from Boundary Space at the very top of a London townhouse. They wanted to create something like an urban meadow and it really is something very special indeed.
