A couple of months ago, Rightmove reported that a garden office had now become one of the main must-haves for potential buyers, with sellers including it increasingly frequently in particulars. Just to remind you, this is what the Rightmove spokesperson said at the time: ""Features like an outdoor office space have soared as working patterns have changed. The proportion of property listings that mention them now 11 times higher than a decade ago."
We've certainly been noticing the increase over the last month as estate agents really push the fact that a property has a garden office. Among the latest is this one, pictured above, described as "a perfect modern feeling and insulated craft, homeworking, or art studio" by Henry Adams. It's in West Chiltington (me neither, but it's West Sussex), and with the accompanying five bedroom, three bathroom, three reception house is available for a shade over £1m.
