The kind of writer’s cabin many writers dream of, this one is in the countryside just north of Madrid and built by Spanish architects MuDD for a children’s book author. Plenty of marvellous features including floor to ceiling windows, a spectacular curving pine bookcase, 20cm thick stone wool insulation (it gets cold in winter in Madrid, despite what many people think), and a large chiminea in the middle of the building to make everything warm and cosy. Th roof is made of folded oxidized iron. Remarkably, the project was carried out during the pandemic.
