Shedworking was sad to read reports of the death of John Byrne, artist, playwright (The Slab Boys Trilogy) and screenwriter of Tutti Frutti and Your Cheatin' Heart on television. Byrne had two studios, one inside his home and the other a converted 1935 garage which he heated with a coal fire. He worked hard in both, all day every day. Below, he talks about his working days in his shed.
