Tootsie and Fudge: shedworkers
Online children's clothing company Tootsie and Fudge is run from the shed of entrepreneurial sisters Kirsty Baird and Alison Black Storm who are based in Perthshire and Copenhagen respectively. The inspiration for the business came when Ali would send home Scandinavian brands for her niece and nephew in Scotland, which were always greatly admired. Initially, the sisters had reservations about starting a business together while on opposite sides of Europe, however with the shedworkingesque wonders of email, Skype and Basecamp project management system these obstacles were easily overcome. Kirsty deals with all the orders and customer service while Ali deals with the European suppliers, PR and marketing. And of course with the business being online both can update the website with the latest products and offers.

Shed Space
Shed Space is a mobile visual arts project using sheds for artists as exhibition spaces. Their aim is "to make art more accessible, offering new locations, and unique viewing experiences across the UK and further afield". They, quite rightly, argue that their shedspaces are free from the constraints and intimidating nature of a regular gallery and allow the artists to interact directly with the public. They also welcome submissions from local contemporary artists and designers to take over the sheds for a set period of time.

Renting a Suffolk beach hut
What with the lovely weather and everything, your mind will no doubt be turning towards summer hols. And what better way to spend them than in a shedlike atmosphere? If you don't own a beach hut then you'll need to get your skates on to hire one since they get snapped up fast. Southwold and Suffolk in general are very popular spots for beach hutters so consider contacting experts such as Suffolk Secrets. Pictured is The Vital Spark Beach Hut, situated near Gun Hill. If you have no luck, then try here or here.

Love/Hate Travel?
Here's a nice infographic thingy (click it to see it in more readable size) from free conference call company Powwownow as part of their Love/Hate Travel? initiative. Among the interesting stats to emerge from it are that, according to the TUC, 1 in 5 workers believe their employers are preventing them working from home. Powwownow created Love/Hate Travel? to get people chatting about commuting, especially on Twitter where they're encouraging the use of hashtags #lovetravel and #hatetravel.
