Historic circular Manhattan treehouse saved for posterity
Melinda Hackett's circular cedar treehouse in a Plane tree in Greenwich Village has beaten idiotic neighbours and a completely unnecessary legal battle to win landmark status. The treehouse is five years old and previously owned by musician David Byrne of Talking Heads. Lots more photos and details of the legalities involved at npr.com
