When we've talked about crossover sheds before, it's usually towards the shed-home end of the scale. Detroit-based Thinking Outside have an interesting structure called The Smart Gardener's Workshop more towards the potting shed end which, in the right conditions, would also be a great place to shedwork. It measures 11ft by 10ft by 12ft, has double-wide dutch doors at both ends, two built-in skylights and, naturally, garden hose access. You have to build it yourself though it comes with full instructions. More details
here.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI am about to get one of these via Craigslist. The company that made them is apparently no longer in business. Do you know where I could find more information or find someone else that has one?
Sincerely,
Jen
I absolutely love mine I would like to get another they should have never stopped making them !!!
DeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteI loved our SmartShed until one of the skylights broke (less than 4 years after purchasing it) now I am stuck with it and cannot find anywhere to replace the skylight. I would advise not purchasing it.
AJ,
ReplyDeleteI use to know someone that sold Acrylic. He would make things out of it. If you know someone like that, maybe they could do the same.
An Acylic saleperon - that's the ticket !
I see the date Alex posted, but I don't see Jen's. It would be nice to see when the posting are, so as to kno it it is still current info
ReplyDeleteI pay someone around $2000 for one in good shape, after it was delivered of course.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get something else built or find another prefab.
But like I said, I'd give $2,000 for the Thinking Outside Smart Gardeners Workshop.
Does anyone have instructions for this. Can you email them to me at kbarbour83@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI have a Thinking Outside shed. I'm looking for the assembly manual. If anyone has access to the manual, please let me know. bookdisplay@earthlink.net
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Frank
I, too, lucked out and purchased one of these sheds from a local nursery going out of business. Only paid $300. But desperately need the manual for sure. If ANYONE has one, please email to wired@mris.com
ReplyDeleteI too need to replace a skylight in our greenhouse.
ReplyDeleteNo luck yet.
Does anyone know where we can buy something similar to the Thinking outside the box greenhouse? We had one and moved and I would love to get another one!
