Garden office insulation

Energy-saving specialists Home Logic have an interesting piece about the best way to insulate your garden office which will be of particular interest to anybody about to buy a garden office and especially those thinking of doing it themselves.

They run through the pros and cons of various possibilities including Sheep's Wool (recyclable but expensive), Mineral Wool (efficient but some sagging), Rigid Insulation Boards (popular but problems with vapour) and Hemp (sustainable but unproven). But in the end they make a case for Icynene, a spray foam solution, though this too has some drawbacks, including some health-related issues and must be installed by an expert, as mentioned on Treehugger. Also worth looking at is InsideOut's short guide to the subject.
