Working on water is a popular concept and while Boatanic is not strictly a shedworking atmosphere, it does point the way to the potential for watery 'garden' offices. In brief, Boatanic reuses old tourist boats and turns them into floating greenhouses/markets using solar, wind and frying fat power. It's currently based in the Netherlands but the owners believe it could catch on in cities around the world. It's a marvellous idea and the web site is well worth a browse.

Tuesday posts are sponsored by The Home Office Company, manufacturers of unique garden rooms since 1998. Now in 10 exciting new colours. Click here for more details.
