Duke of Portland Boathouse for sale

Yvette Huddleston and Walter Swan in that shed champion among newspapers The Daily Telegraph report on the Duke of Portland's Boathouse, Ullswater, which is now up for sale at a smidgeon under £500,000. Described as "one of Cumbria's architectural treasures" it has, remarkably, been granted permission by the Lake District National Park authority for the upper storey to be used as a dwelling for permanent or holiday occupancy. The property comes with its own access to the water (plus fishing rights), a wind turbine, and is currently being renovated to be used as a holiday let/home. Rather nice.
