Pubs with wi-fi

It's a long time since we talked about pubs as third place shedworking spots but there's been some recent good news for those who want an alternative to coffee shops as places to work. Young’s recently rejigged website enables customers to search for pubs not only by menu style, postcode or open fire facility, but also by wi-fi access, while Wetherspoon's customers can now take advantage of a free unlimited wi-fi connection service in all of its pubs in England, Scotland and Wales.Customers will be able to log on, for an unlimited period, during the individual pub’s opening hours throughout the week. “We are keen to provide our customers with as many different services as possible, while they are in our pubs,” says Wetherspoon’s Chief Executive, John Hutson. “This facility will allow customers to enjoy a drink or something to eat in our pubs, while being able to log on, at the same time, to their e-mails and the Internet – free.”
